Biography

Thomas graduated from Colorado State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. He began his dance journey at The National Dance Institute of New Mexico, where he met Jacques d’Amboise, followed by training at The Colorado Ballet Academy, and Premier School of Dance before college. At NDI-NM, the late Priscilla Welton inspired and ingrained in him a strong technique that pushed him beyond his limits, he will always be grateful for everything she gave him. Priscilla's passion for dance, particularly ballet, as a tool for social change continues to inspire Thomas to this day.

Thomas has also taken many master classes from renowned dancers and instructors, including Léonare Baulac from the Paris

Opera Ballet, Jean-Philippe Malaty from the Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, nationally renowned choreographer André Megerdichian, Paul Taylor company dancer Richard Chen See, principal dancer at the Mariinsky Ballet Vladimir Shklyarov, Founding Artistic Co-Director at PUSH Physical Dance Theater Darren Stevenson, and the artistic staff of Cie. Hervé Koubi.

Thomas has performed in numerous works, most notably the late Salvatore Aiello's Senza Fretta (2018) staged by Jerri Kumery, Cabaret (2019 and 2020) directed by Noah Racey with musical direction by Aaron Gandy, and André Megerdichian's The Slow Momentum of Memory (2020 canceled, 2022). As well as performing at the Vision Dance Expo (2018) and Foco Flava Vol. 4 (2019).

With a growing repertoire of original pieces, including Support (2019), Draumar og Ósk (Dreams and a Wish) (2022), and Perceptions (2022), he has established himself as a talented choreographer. In addition to these works, he has also been commissioned to choreograph for two operas, L'enfant et les sortilèges (The Child and the Spells) by Maurice Ravel (2019) and The Tender Land by Aaron Copland (2023), both under the direction of Dr. Tiffany Blake. Furthermore, his talent as a choreographer has been recognized with award-winning dances created for fraternities and sororities, showcased at homecoming dance competitions and the Fraternity Sorority Life Festival dance competitions.
